AT&T Home Internet Prices Rise for Second Straight Year
AT&T home internet customers, prepare for another increase.

Starting Dec 1, your monthly bill will cost $5 more.
AT&T is sending out emails with the notification this week informing customers of a second annual price increase. The company states the change is needed to "continue providing the quality service and support [customers] deserve" and to cover rising operating expenses. This comes just after AT&T reported $4.9 billion in profit last quarter.
How to Offset the New Charge
The price increase is firm, but AT&T offers a way to immediately cancel out the cost, and then some:
- Bank Account Autopay: Sign up an eligible bank account for Autopay and Paperless Billing to receive a $10 monthly discount. This saves you $5 beyond the new price increase.
- Debit Card Autopay: Use a debit card for the same enrollment to receive a $5 monthly discount, which exactly covers the increase.
Who Is Exempt?
The price hike won't apply to two groups: people who signed up for service over the last year, and those currently enrolled in AT&T's Access program for low-income households.
