Widespread iPhone 17 cellular issues hit T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon.

Excited customers are now getting their hands on the iPhone 17, and it seems the new phones come with a few issues. According to online reports, some iPhone 17 models are experiencing cellular problems across multiple carriers, from T-Mobile to AT&T and Verizon.
Early reports of the issue were met with some doubt, with many believing it only affected a handful of devices. However, the number of people reporting the problem has grown significantly, indicating a much wider issue.
This is particularly strange given that the iPhone 17 Pro features a new antenna system. The larger antenna, which wraps around the expanded rear camera module, was supposed to improve reception on both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. That hasn't been the case for some users, who've noticed their older iPhones get much better reception in the same areas where their new device is struggling.
The good news is that firmware updates might be able to fix this problem. In one instance, an Apple support advisor acknowledged the issue and even offered a return. The experience appears to be a mixed bag, as some users say their iPhone 17 is not only working perfectly but has better reception than their previous iPhone 16. If this is a random occurrence, a software update may resolve the issue soon.
This wouldn't be the first time Apple has released buggy software. The company has had a number of software problems over the past two years, including odd glitches in iOS 26 and the release of iPadOS 18, which temporarily bricked M4 iPad models.
Even with the iPhone 17's unexpected popularity, it is clear that the device is not without its share of problems, and this cellular bug is just one of them.
